The Trump administration’s lack of a plan to stop the pandemic has been the subject of much controversy.
A recent ABC News report reported that the Department of Health and Human Services is still in the process of writing a “prevention plan” that will provide the administration with “a blueprint to combat the coronaviral pandemic.”
However, ABC reported that HHS had already rejected that plan, stating that it “does not include a clear roadmap for how to prevent the pandemics spread.”
ABC noted that the CDC has been trying to get the administration to include an additional coronaviruses vaccine in its “preventative measures.”
The Trump transition team has not yet responded to The Hill’s request for comment.
The president has also repeatedly criticized the “tremendous bureaucracy” of the Department.
“The coronavides that we have today, you look at a coronivirus, you don’t know where they’re coming from,” Trump said in a speech at the National Prayer Breakfast last month.
“It is a big, big problem.”
